City2Surf on the water
With a course set along of northern shore of beautiful Sydney Harbour, Kayak for Kids provides an opportunity for the whole family to join in. If you are a dedicated paddler with your own kayak, the course gives you a great challenge. If you are a novice with family, friends or colleagues who are keen to have a go, three seater kayaks are included in the entry cost.
In 2010, Kayak for Kids has a fundraising target of $200,000 and The Trust Company volunteers will be supporting the event on land and in the water. Make up a team of twelve with your friends, colleagues or families, join in the fun and help raise funds for this very worthwhile cause.
Who is Lifestart?
In April 1996, eight families came together with a vision to find a better way to support children with intellectual disabilities and developmental delays and their families. They wanted a program that would respect their children as children and empower them as parents to have a greater role in their children’s development. This vision became Lifestart Co-operative Ltd.
Today Lifestart is at the forefront of providing early childhood intervention services, working with children aged from birth to school age who have an intellectual disability or developmental delay and their families. Diagnosed conditions include autism spectrum disorder, Down syndrome, global development delay and many rare genetic disorders such as Young Simpson syndrome and Rubinstein-Taybi syndrome.
The Trust Company is a long-standing supporter of a wide range of charitable programs in the Australian community and we are always looking for new ways to help. Your involvement and donations can make all the difference.
